Welcome to the new Blog belonging to the Fleurieu Peninsula Family History Group (Inc.). We are a group of likeminded individuals whose main focus is the researaching of our respective family histories. Our members range in age from around 25 to well over 70, and we welcome new members among us all the time.

Membership is open to anyone wishing to research their family history. Just because our group’s name is Fleurieu Peninsula Family History Group (FPFHG from now on), doesn’t mean that our members are only researching families who lived on the Fleurieu – quite the contrary – we have members researching in all states of Australia, UK, Canada, USA, Germany, South Africa, Holland, the former Kingdom of Prussia and more.

Our group meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 1:30pm in the Trinity Uniting Church Hall in William Road, Christies Beach, where we enjoy a social afternoon of sharing information, research tips and assistance, listening to a wide range of speakers and much more. We hold various workshops, seminars and other events throughout the year.

We have set up a Resource Room at the hall, with the kind permission of the Trinity Church, which holds a myriad of books, CD’s, DVD’s, magazines, micro-fich and film. Our collection is  not unlike our family trees – forever growing and multiplying. Members are welcome to borrow items from the Resource Room.
